Parent Registration Workshop Scheduled
The “How to Raise Great Cubs” parent workshop has been rescheduled. The Tuscaloosa City Schools Course Catalog has been officially approved; RQMS expects to receive delivery of it and course registration cards later this week. Parents are invited to attend a special session of the Cubs workshop series next week. There are two options to attend: the first will at 6:00 on Monday evening at the Tuscaloosa Center for Technology Academy (TCTA) at 2800 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. For everyone unable to attend that evening, the school will hold a second offering of the same session at 9:00 on Wednesday in the school cafeteria. Both sessions will feature a discussion of this year’s course catalog, class offerings at Rock Quarry, the registration process, and other related topics. Parents of students currently in grades 5 through 8 are invited to attend; the presentation will include information about 9th grade in addition to middle school courses. Following the presentation on Monday, parents will be invited to receive information about courses available at TCTA and to participate in a tour of the school.

Friday, March 27th, tickets will be on sale in the afternoon carpool for the all you can eat Hotcake and Sausage night at McDonalds. This event will be held Tuesday, April 21st from 4:30-7:30. This is an event sponsored by the RQE PTA and McDonald’s. It is always a fun time with the teachers serving the students! Tickets are $5 but will be $6 the day of the event. A form to purchase tickets will be coming home with your child soon if you will not be going through carpool tomorrow.

The Fifth Grade field trip scheduled for tomorrow — The American Village– has been cancelled do to the unknown weather conditions.  This trip will be rescheduled.
