Dear Parents,

Rock Quarry Elementary Student Council will be collecting school supplies for victims of Hurricane Sandy. We are excited to be able to give back to schools in need, especially after all of the support our schools received after our own devastating tornado. Each grade level will be given specific school supplies to bring in. We will begin collecting items Monday, November 26^th and collect through Thursday, December 6^th. Please bring your designated items to the wet lab. Thanks in advance for your support!

First Grade: markers, crayons, or colored pencils

Second Grade: pocket folders (with brads or without)

Third Grade: notebook paper

Fourth Grade: 1 inch or 2 inch binders

Fifth Grade: pencils, pens, and erasers

RQE still needs a Parent Leadership Academy representative for our school.  Please contact Katherine Heslop (205-292-9690) if you could do this or if you would like more information.  You meet and have dinner once a month, and attend a banquet at the end of the year with Mrs. Jockisch and Dr. McKendrick and others.  Please help if you are interested.

Hey RQE Football Players and Cheerleaders! Join the team for a pre-game meal Tuesday (11/13) at Taco Casa at 4:30!! Plenty of time time for some yummy tacos and queso before kickoff!!

Pre-Ordered RQE Turkey Bowl T-shirts are in!!!  They will be delivered first thing Tuesday morning to your student at school and your child can put them on at school.  If you would like to have your shirt earlier, you may make arrangements to pick them up at Michelle Crouse’s home by notifying her via Facebook.  ONLY Turkey Bowl T-shirts that were ordered are available.

The deadline for ads has been extended until after Thanksgiving – Friday, November 30th.

The deadline to order shirts is 9am on Friday November 2nd.  They are not ordering extra shirts and there are no exceptions, so get your order in TODAY!!!
